Lolo Zouaï is an award-winning singer, songwriter, and producer from San Francisco, CA. Born in Paris to a French mother and Algerian father, Lolo emigrated from France to California when she was just 3 months old after her parents won the Visa lottery.
After high school, Lolo moved to NYC with her mom and built a makeshift bedroom studio to produce, write, and record demos while working at restaurants around the city.
Lolo hit her stride in 2017 once she self-released her debut single 'High Highs to Low Lows', which found a huge audience online across the world. She carried this momentum through 2019 with more independent singles, ultimately leading to the release of her critically acclaimed debut album named after the single, 'High Highs to Low Lows'.
You can hear Lolo's evolution on her newly released sophomore album, 'PLAYGIRL'. The album confidently unfurls her story in vulnerable, digital, futuristic-yet-retrospective, and true-to-life interconnected pieces, with Lolo as its emotional backbone and lyrical undercurrent. "This whole album is about not boxing myself into any one genre or sound," she says. "Once I had that revelation - that my album could be like my life itself - it unlocked an entirely new outlook on making music for me."
Lolo is excited for fans to hear this next chapter live during her upcoming PLAYGIRL World Tour. She feels ready for her own shows after opening up for Dua Lipa for 30 shows on the Future Nostalgia arena tour earlier this year. With over 300M streams to date, collabs with Nike, Coach, Dior, YSL, Chanel, Reebok, and more to accolades from Vogue, Rolling Stone, W, Harper's Bazaar, Paper, Elle, and countless other trendsetting publications - it's clear that the world is as ready as she is to embark on this next chapter, too.
